Tucked away in a secluded alcove of Megalochori, within a short stroll from the village square, Villa Io is an ideal hideaway providing peace and privacy. Built into the volcanic rock, the villa once served as the village school to the local children. Today the interior is postcard-perfect, white with beautiful arched interiors. The layout of the villa takes the form of traditional Santorini houses. As the village of Megalochori is surrounded by vineyards, the villa continues this theme with unusual light fittings fashioned out of the basket-like vines.
